Sunday was a great day for spinning!
There was fiber to buy - one person was destashing (oh, the agony) and then there was some fiber making its way back into Michigan from Greencastle the week before. We all oooohed and aaaahed at the feel of the silk and merino blend, the alpaca and shetland combo, the mohair (how can it be so soft!). Some money changed hands and some of us went home with new treasures.
Steve also finished lambing that day - a new little girl (lamb) was born while we were there - surprise surprise! His pastures are full of mothers and babies. I can hardly wait until next February when we can get our hands on all those fleeces.
We tentatively named our group (Kaylan's suggestion) and I offered to put forth a newsletter of sorts (I am out of my element here, so you must bear with me). If you don't like the name and can come up with a better one, let me know.
We were definitely acting out the part of the Back Row as the day progressed on Sunday.
Anyway, fun was had and we also got some spinning and knitting/crocheting done. What more could you ask?
